Summary:

This 1-hour informational online seminar is meant to engage with those who are interested in contributing to the volume “The GeT course: Resources and Objectives for the Geometry Courses for Teachers.” During this seminar, the editors of the upcoming volume will present their vision and overall objectives for the book, as well as answer questions you may have about individual sections of the book. The editors envision a book useful to anyone interested in the undergraduate geometry courses taken by pre-service teachers. Chapters in this volume will also further advance the development of the Student Learning Objectives (SLOs – see  https://getapencil.org/student-learning-objectives/) for the preparation of secondary mathematics teachers. In particular, the editors are seeking contributions that will help shape future revisions of the SLOs by offering various perspectives on the SLOs or contributing to the growing set of instructional artifacts connected to the SLOs that can help document the growing knowledge base for teaching the GeT course. More information about the book and the call for proposals can be found here.

Proposals for chapters to be considered for inclusion in the volume are due November 28, 2022.
